TYPICAL CONTENTS OF THREE DAYS WORKSHOP ON
"MANAGING STRESS WITH AWARENESS"

Session 1 - The Perception

  • Introduction and general guidelines to the workshop curriculum.
  • Stress - Individual perception. The phenomenon of Stress, Strain and their cause. Physical and Mental stress. Why do we stress ourselves? Normal human attitude towards stress. Awareness and its function in changing human attitude towards stress thereby eliminating strain.

  • Guided Meditation for Physical and Mental relaxation.

Session 2 - The Cause

  • If stress depends on our mental response to external situation, we must learn to control our mind in order to control stress.
  • How the mind works? The four distinct and compartmentalized functions of Mind. The right brain, the left brain and their relationship. The process of decision making. The threefold awareness and its function in decision making. Formation of Positive and Negative beliefs and Guilt.

  • Guided Meditation for balancing the left and right brain functions.

Session 3 - Stress Release through meditation.

  • Process of meditation. Visualisation - The complimentary function of meditation.
  • The four modes of speech. The language of internal communication. Visualisation, the finest mode of speech and its function in goal setting, actualization and wish fulfilment. Improving creativity, general well being and strained relationships. Desire, Belief and Expectancy. Self help techniques like Sleep control, Morning alarm and Awake control.

Session 4 - Stress & Relationships

  • Interpersonal relationships, Communication gap and stress caused thereof.
  • The Threefold Existence - The Spiritual, Physical and Illusive, which influence human perception. Effects of Illusive existence over interpersonal relations and its identification with awareness. Techniques for improving communication. Technique for subjective communication for restoring or improving difficult relationships.

Session 5 - Stress release through Breath Control

  • How to breath correctly. The technique of controlled Breathing. The techniques of Nadi Shodhan Pranayam, Anulome, Vilome and Pran Shuddhi. The techniques of Bhasrika and Kapal Bhati.
  • Techniques of Moolabandha, Udiyan Bandh, Jalandhar Bandh and Bhramari Pranayam. The technique of Agnisar Kriya.

  • Guided Meditation on breath observation and Ajapajapa.(The effortless chanting).


Session 6 - Action Control and Peace

  • Understanding the Prana energies, their locations and functions in the physical body. Techniques of staying cool in hostile circumstances. Anger, Anxiety, Nervousness and Pain control. Headache and Migraine control.

  • Guided Meditation on Pranashanti (Quietening of Prana energy).

Session 7 - At Peace with the Universe

  • Individual world and Collective world. The Part, the Whole and their interrelation.
  • The Country and the Citizen. The society and the Man. The Organisation and the Individual. Understanding the relationship between a Boss and his Subordinate. Seven Universal Laws which govern the Whole and the Part alike, dictating the need to be ONE WITH the Universe and not ONE IN the Universe.

Session 8 - Cleansing the Burden of Guilt

  • Suggestions, Belief and Guilt. Identification of negative beliefs and traits and cleansing the mind of Guilt complex. Re-writing fresh positive beliefs with positive affirmations. The Tongue and Palate technique for instant relaxation of mind.

Session 9 - Managing Stress

  • Stress management techniques and exercises.
  • Controlling stress related ailments like hypertension, Blood Pressure and diabetes.

Session 10 - Happiness, an attitude

  • The technique for maintaining our mind in a perpetually happy state. Understanding our mental responses to the external stimuli, as they are responsible for our happiness or misery.

Session 11 - Case studies and techniques

  • Case studies on visualisation techniques adopted for curing terminal diseases like breast cancer and blood cancer.
  • Visualisation techniques for correction of various ailments of Heart, Blood pressure, Diabetes, Kidney and Gall bladder stones, Slip disk, Backaches, Defective eyesight etc.

Session 12 - Positive Attitude

  • Positive and Negative expectations.
  • Art of Positive Thinking - Understanding the natural motivating factors behind human action. Understanding human tendency to convert these motivating factors into negative expectations. Controlling such negative expectations in order to bring happiness in one's Life and Job by adhering to Seven Golden Rules.
