Session 1 - Introduction and general guidelines to the workshop curriculum.

Session 2 - 'The Cause'

  • The cause behind the creation.
  • The five afflictions that provoke the living beings into Karma (the acts and deeds). Different types of Karma and its bondage.

Session 3 - 'The Mind'

  • Five senses, sensory organs and process of perception.
  • Four compartments of mind, their functions, and control.
  • Awake, dreaming and deep sleep states of mind. Fourth, the infinite state of mind.
  • Logical and imaginative functions of mind and achieving their mutual balance.

Session 4 - 'The Meditation'

  • Definition of meditation. The three steps of meditation; fixity (Dharana), concentration (Dhyan) and release (Samadhi).
  • Four egocentric states of meditation; Object oriented (Vitarka), Thought oriented (Vichar), Bliss oriented (Ananda) and Ego oriented (Asmita).
  • The supreme state of meditation transcending self-awareness and merger into 'God element'.

Session 5 - 'The Visualization'

  • The four languages of communication; Vocal, Mute, Visualization and Awareness.

Session 6 - 'Breath Awareness I'

  • Breathing process, abdominal breathing and breathing capacities.
  • Five main and five deputizing Prana energies and their functions.
  • Pranic pathways, their functions and effect on metabolism.

  • Guided meditation on breathing process and relaxing Prana energies.

Session7 - 'Pranayam'; the breath control techniques.

  • Nadi Shodhan technique; purification of Pranic pathways.
  • Anulom, Vilom & Prana shuddhi technique; spontaneous reversal and purification of Prana flow.
  • Bhastrika & Kapal Bhati techniques; rapid and forceful exhalation and inhalation.
  • Agnisar Kriya technique; activating and regulating digestive fire.

Session 8 - 'The Unified Universe'

  • The inanimate world; the part, the whole and their relationship.
  • The animate world; the part, the whole and their integration.

Session 9 - 'The Body'

  • Yoga postures; introduction.
  • Warming up; Ankle twist, knee rotation, crow pose, crow walk, dog pose, cat pose, and other toning as well as therapeutic yoga postures.

Session 10 - 'Pranayam'; advanced techniques.

  • Kumbhak; Internal and external retention of breath.
  • Moolabandha, Udiyan bandh and Jalandhar bandh; contraction of anus, navel, and throat.
  • Saptadwar Mudra; Blocking seven escape routes of air.
  • Mahat Pranayam; Superior pranayam technique.
  • Ujjayi Pranayam; controlled breathing with constricted glottis.

Session 11 - 'Breath Awareness II'

  • Breathing process and emotions; controlling anger, anxiety, nervousness, and pain.

Session 12 - 'The Body II'

  • More Yoga postures for perfect health and fitness.
  • Guided meditation; out of body experience.

Session 13 - 'The Body III'

  • Advanced Yoga posture for perfect health and fitness.
  • Guided meditation; out of body experience.

Session 14 - 'Forgive and be Forgiven'

  • Beliefs, suggestions, and Guilt.
  • Thoughts, emotions, and manifestation.
  • Love; the only tool to tackle every negative emotion.
  • Forgiveness; the only tool to convert negative emotions into love.

  • Guided meditation for forgiveness.

Session 15 - 'The Mantra'

  • Maha Mrutyunjay Mantra; A rhythmic affirmation to negate fear of death.
  • Surya Gayatri Mantra; A rhythmic affirmation for promoting quest of knowledge.
  • To create your own rhythmic or prosaic mantra and actually benefit from it.

Session 16 - 'Pranayam'; advanced techniques II.

  • Sutra neti & Jal Neti; Cleansing respiratory tract with thread and water.
